Dogecoin (DOGE)
Dogecoin was created in 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, originally as a lighthearted alternative to Bitcoin based on the Shiba Inu meme. It uses Scrypt mining with 1-minute block times and has no supply cap, producing 10,000 new DOGE per block indefinitely. Despite its origins, Dogecoin grew into one of the most widely recognized cryptocurrencies.
